It's a good thing Billy.P didn't have to watch today. It might be hard to blame the refs when your QB gets sacked 10 times. And the whole team totally falls apart while leading by one with 5 minutes to go. But hey, it was the refs.

They were almost blameable. On the late drive that put WDE up by one the refs missed 2 critical PIs. However, they finally called one and WDE capitalized with a TD. Those sacks were some sort of record, either for OK or the NCAA.

Sure, and Carolina could drop its basketball program and put in varsity dodgeball, too, but nagonnahappen. It seems clear, from 2,500 miles away, that neither the talent nor preparation is there for the 'Heels this year. Could somebody else have done better with the same players? Dunno. Could the same players have done better with another coach? Dunno. Could the whole program have come together better without the constant celebrity distractions of Belichick and Hudson? Dunno. But they're 2-2 (12th ACC) through the warm-up season with conference games coming up. Doesn't look good.
